Press Release Body: August 21, 2008, Chicopee, MA – TeamExpand, a developer of products complimentary to Microsoft Visual Studio Team System (VSTS), today announced the commercial version of its TX Chrono, a timesheet tracking application targeted at software development organizations standardizing on the Visual Studio .NET environment. Besides a number of bug fixes, the commercial version of TX Chrono features new workflow functionality and complete TSF compatibility to make software development activities more visible and predictable. A trial version of the product will also be available for free download.
Automated time tracking with TFS timesheet
“Traditionally, VSTS/TFS users suffered from a lack of timesheet reporting capabilities,” said Andrei Yurkevich, CTO of TeamExpand. “TX Chrono expands the time reporting limitations of the system, helping team members easily submit their time reports and enabling project managers to take control over employee activities, which results in increased productivity and accelerated release cycles.”
Allowing project managers and team members to submit, approve, and analyze timesheets, the Web-based TFS timesheet application also provides a set of notification and reporting capabilities that TFS lacks. This automates time reporting and the analyzing process, and brings visibility across all project-related activities, giving team leaders the amount of control over the project necessary to ensure the team’s success. The Aberdeen Group reports 88 percent of organizations that achieved Best-in-Class status have already partially or fully automated their time and attendance data collection.
TX Chrono features:
• Web-based timesheet submission and approval • Individual and non-standard schedules • Non-standard working hours per day or per week • Separate billable and non-billable tasks • Custom timetables • Pre-build and advanced reporting • Automated notifications and alerts on projects, individuals, and activities
